Member Benefits
- To encourage any technical or other form of education for the training and development of efficient employees in the BAS industry.
- To encourage and preserve by every skill in the BAS industry, upgrade and escalate the standards of BAS and ancillary activities and public confidence in the BAS industry. This may involve collaboration with Technical colleges or Universities.
- To recommend, promulgate, maintain and improve conditions of contracts, forms of agreement, conditions of tendering and the like, and subsequently enter into agreement or arrangement with registered building contractors associations, institution of architects and engineers or similar organization, government, semi-government municipal or other local or public authorities.
- To improve and elevate the standards of installation and servicing in the BAS industry and to co-operate with any necessary authorities for the maintenance of proper standards.
- To represent the interests of the members in Commissions of enquiries or litigation and in matters of Legislation and Regulation by Government and local authorities, including professional bodies.
Member Guideline
Classification of Membership
Ordinary Corporate Members
Ordinary Corporate shall be opened to all contractors, manufacturers and suppliers in the Building Automation System (the "BAS") industry in Malaysia.
Ordinary Individual Members
Individual Members shall be opened to Malaysian citizen and above the age of 18 years. The number of Ordinary Members shall be unlimited.
Life Members
Any existing Ordinary Individual Member or Ordinary Member, after being a member for a period of one (1) year can apply to be an Individual or Corporate Life Member of BASAM. Every Application together with the payment of the prescribed fee shall be forwarded to the Secretary who shall, at the first convenient of opportunity, submit to the Executive Committee for approval. The Executive Committee may at its discretion to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason thereof.
Associate Members
Associate members shall be opened to Architects, Consultants,_Insurance Companies, Fire Brigade, Academicians and all those directly interested in the BAS industry.
Eligibility for Membership
Ordinary Corporate/Individual Members
Open to all contractors, manufacturers and suppliers in the BAS industry who is Malaysian citizen and above the age of 18 years is eligible for membership of BASAM.
Life Members

Membership rights and privileges shall not be transferable including the right of the vote.
